RoboMasters

Looking for something awesome to do after school? Come join our after-school youth program designed for high school students like you!

We’re diving into the exciting world of the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), and we’d love for you to be a part of it. FTC is like the varsity sport of STEM. You’ll work in a team to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in thrilling challenges. It’s not just about robots, though – you’ll also learn valuable skills in teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and leadership, all while having a ton of fun. No prior robotics experience is necessary; just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn!

This is a free program that includes exciting competitions, field trips, college tours, team-building activities, community service, and new friends!

Our high school FTC robotics program was made possible with the support of a community grant from the York County Community Foundation, a FIRST FTC Rookie grant, and an Arconic Foundation grant. Thank you! This program would not be possible without your support.

We are looking for students who have an interest in:

  • Coding (JAVA, Python, C, Javascript, etc.)
  • Building (wood, metal, plexi, etc.)
  • Designing (drawing, CAD, 3D printing, etc.)
  • Electronics (wiring, circuits, etc.)
  • Robotics/Automation (engineering, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
  • Gaming (driving, mods, etc.)
  • Marketing (social media, website, graphic design, etc.)

FIRST Tech Challenge team members are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have!”

Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEAM skills and practice engineering principles while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and sharing ideas. The robot kit is reusable from year to year and can be programmed using Java. Teams also must raise funds, design and market their team brand, and do community outreach, for which they can win awards. Participants have access to millions of dollars in college scholarships. Each season concludes with the PA State Championship and a possible trip to the FIRST World Championship.

Whether you already have some of these skills or just want to learn, we want you to join the RoboMasters FTC robotics team. Join the fun. Create something new. Change the world. Click HERE to register.
