MEET THE TEAM
The 2024-25 RoboThinkers are having an exciting season filled with new experiences. This season students from the 5th to 8th grades are coming together to represent four different schools. This is our first time being part of a robotics team and we are eager to take on the challenges ahead. As we work together we are learning a lot and growing our skills in robotics. We have created a box robot that stands out from the designs used in past seasons. Our robot includes some impressive attachments that help us complete our missions effectively. The exciting theme for this year is “SUBMERGED ” focusing on the wonders of the ocean. We will explore various ocean-related topics, such as marine life underwater ecosystems and the importance of ocean conservation. Through creative projects and presentations, we will share our knowledge and passion for the ocean with others. This theme allows everyone to learn more about the beauty and challenges of the underwater world.
Since June, our group has been meeting regularly to focus on the FIRST core values. These values guide us in our daily activities and help us grow as a team. We have also started making new friends, which strengthens our community bonds. To share our mission, we plan to engage with the community and raise awareness about our work. As we look ahead everyone is committed to putting in the effort needed to excel in our upcoming competitions. Everyone is excited about the upcoming competitions and is determined to work hard in preparation. Each person understands the importance of representing the City of York with pride. We are dedicated to practicing regularly and improving our skills. This commitment not only helps us perform better but also strengthens our bond as a team. Together, we aim to showcase the best of what York City has to offer at the competitions.
